Graco Coast Flint Ultimate Baby Bundle (17 piece)

Not all good news . . .

We ordered this for our daughter who's expecting her first child. We chose to buy with Silver Cross because of their reputation. The bundle is exactly as advertised and seems to be of excellent quality. However, while the goods are excellent, getting them delivered was a nightmare. Initially Silver Cross' sales department, having taken our money, failed to process our order. A situation that was quickly rectified via a phone call to customer service. The replacement order was then lost, 'somewhere in a DPD warehouse'. Another phone call produced yet another order which arrived missing a couple of components. An email, this time, put that right and after two weeks of not knowing what was going on, rather than the two days it was supposed to take, we now have the full set. In fairness, the ladies at customer service couldn't have been more helpful and did everything they could to alleviate our issues but it's a disappointment that so many things were able to go wrong in a company such as Silver Cross.

The coast is everything I wanted and more just loving it. Such a lovely solid pram just what I was looking for.

Great features, grows with your family!

So let’s start with the chassis. I think it’s a little on the heavy side and quite large, I have a VW polo, when collapsed I have to take off a wheel and it’s tight fit but it fits. Strong and easy to collapse and unfold however it doesn’t free stand so has to lay flat or rest against something like a wall when not in use. The car seat and Isofix is great, after months of using it I can see the benefits of having an isofix that rotates, it’s more convenient and comfortable for the adult dealing with the baby but keeps baby comfortable and safe so does exactly what it needs to do. Newborn insert is nice and snug, my son was premature so there was actually slot of space around his head area. It’s all machine washable which is great because my son has vomited a number of times whilst in the seat. Easy to take off and put onto the pram. The bassinet also great quality, machine washable, used this a lot for overnight sleeping when grandparents would look after my newborn, allowing me to get a good rest. Spacious and looks stylish on walks out and about. Maybe a little on the large side, especially if you want to pop it in the boot. When on the chassis feels wobbly when I go on country walks, doesn’t feel extremely sturdy, also doesn’t tilt which would have been helpful for acid reflux babies like my own. Then finally the pram seat itself reclines into 3 positions, front and back facing, great size, lightweight and easy to put on and take off. All very good quality, worth the money. You can change the hight by flipping the connector on the sides, the highest setting brings baby closer to you while giving you more space at the bottom for shopping. I found this feature great when needing to feed baby on the go in the car seat. It allowed me to hold the bottle while pushing without bending uncomfortably while walking.
